Labyrinth: The Card Game
Rage

Again we took out this new silly game, Labyrinth. Steve seemed to have no problem catching on, I don't think he missed a turn without a treasure! I would have been with Prich and Ray if not for a few double treasures I snagged.

Labyrinth Winner Steve 12 - Ed 11 - John P. 7 - Ray 7

We wanted to try this out with the new expansion again. I think it makes a much better game (even if I did come in last!) This game was faster than the last, but some people over think and slow the game down way too much.

Carcassonne Winner Suzanne 63 - John P. 57 - Steve 34 - Ray 26 - Jen 23 - Ed 20

We thought a card game would be good so someone picked Citadels. I love the new version, it nice to be able to read all the cards and use ALL the rules. Don't ask me how I won this one, just blind luck I think!

Citadels Winner Ed 25 - Jen 24 - Steve 22 - John P. 19 - Suzanne 19 - Ray 18 - Don B. 18

Steve was leaving so we wanted an easy game that drunks could play. Take 6 was the first choice but got thrown by the roadside in favour of Rage. Still a very solid game, for a 20+ year old card game.

Rage Winner John P. 98 - Don 53 - Suzanne 53 - Ray 51 - Jen 42 - Ed 35

We outdid ourselves this time.  Ed never saw the 40 party coming.  Alias Johnny saved the day as my car battery was dead.  He zoomed out ahead of Ed to get the party sub, while Ed's brother John stalled a slight bit.

Jen had made a graveyard cake complete with graves and with a tombstone that was hilarious.  (I can not print it here, due to adult content).  We had black balloons, a black lei for Ed, and a card that simply said, "You're Old".

We sat on the porch and smoked cigars and after a while, even played a card game.  I played a near perfect game, but severely botched hand #2.  Steve played an even game, and whooped us.  We drank "Dune's, Ed's in the giant 24 oz head glass.

Land Unter Winner Steve 18 - Ray 16 - John P. 15 - Ed 3 - John M. 3

By now Party Russ" having arrived, Pat & Jenny had begun cutting their cake, and Dr. Vodka (Don) had arrived.  A good number for Werewolf.  We played 3 games, but each started with "Kill Ray".  I really don't know much more than that.

Werewolf Winner Villagers 2 - Werewolves 1

The closer game was "Take 6".  Russ had the distinction of tying the worst record ever, losing in 2 rounds.

Take 6 Winner John M. 11 - Don B. 12 - Jen 13 - Steve 16 - Ray 30 - John P. 36 - Ed 42 - Russ 69

Yes, Steve Yzerman  paid us a visit!

But, Steve was out of Control!

He Shoots, he scores!

We started out with Erin's birthday party, which seemed to go very well.  (Jacqueline had to miss out as her family obligation from last weekend got bumped when Grannie took ill.)  Lots of kids had lots of fun.  Oh the noise, noise, noise.  With there who-tankers a-rumblin and there who-blowers a soundin'...  ok, you get the idea.

After we finished off Suzanne's (Don't call me Sue!) "ass-margarita in a bucket" mix, Mike picked Carcassonne as the first game.  Due to having 7 players, Steve sat out and relaxed.  This game featured a new way to play called "pressure Carcassonne".  You have 5 seconds to place your tile or the yelling begins.  You Vill Place Ze Tile NOW!   Thanks to Ed, we did not screw up the castle scoring.  (Castles pay the 4 points to the MAJORITY farmer only).

Carcassonne Winner Mike M. 52 - Jen 44 - Ed 38 - Suzanne 34 - Ray 23 - John P. 22

Afterwards, we played Citadels which is becoming to new Cosmic.  You see, we got so good at cosmic that you REALLY have to try due to everyone being on level ground.  We are now so good at Citadels that, well, look at the scores!  Ed, insisting again that TECHNICALLY he was not winning, won.  In my defense , the main thing that gave me the win over the other three second place people was,  I was lucky enough to get the assassin, this let me kill the soldier, even if Prich was not planning to kill me, I couldn't take that chance. The wizard would have had the same effect, if someone would have taken my last card away, I would have been forced to draw rather than take gold. Without playing this last card, I would have not gotten the first person done score and the five color score. This said, I would have been in 6th place behind Ray.

Citadels Winner Ed 24 - Jen 22 - Pete 22 - Steve 22 - Suzanne 21 - Ray 20 - John P. 15
