Game Night: Saturday 11-13-1999

Hey, this Saturday is Union Pacific and Mississippi Queen. But be
warned... due to an illness of the little one, I would suggest this be a
non-child Saturday. She had a NASTY virus and your kids do NOT want it.

As for last Saturday, Ed entertained us with Apples to Apples, a party game
where you try and throw out a card that best describes the "dealers" card.
The dealer judges and picks on and that player gets a point. Silly fun.
Replay ability may be a problem though.

We then return to our folly of "Medici". Still by far the most popular
game night game of all time. Ed and I were tied after day two, but Tom
made a last day surge to lose to me by 3 points. Wow.

We then played liar's dice until Tom could win no more.

This weeks special guest is Adam Goldberg, who is bring a Cuban cigar for
me. Righteous.

Game Night: Saturday 11-20-1999

Sorry about the late email. My provider had a problem sending mail at one
of the pops. It took me a while to find a work around.

Ok, last Saturday, Cabaņa Adam and Ed and Alias Johnny joined us for a
excellent game of Union Pacific. Unlike our first game, it was over quick.
I got royally hosed. I never vested in time and the dividend cards always
came up before I was ready. Ed beat Adam by two thousand bucks, Jen
solidly held the middle, and John and I cleanup up the dog poop.

We then played a couple of games of Liar's dice. Later we watched Joe Bob
Briggs presents "Something Weird". And it was. Hilarious.

Anyway, Jacqueline is healthy and this Saturday we hope to play with
whomever is in town!!! Please give us a call and ask about our "dinner
specials".

Game Night: Saturday 11-27-1999

wow, did you miss a good game of Medici. Medici is by far our favorite
game night game (bean game be damned). And this week was the game to end
all games. We decided to teach Neal and Laura the game. They joined Tom,
myself and Jen in a 5 person game. After 2 years (there are 3 game turns
of one year each), There was a 3 way tie for first! At the end, Tom beat
Jen by 1. That's right 1. I was third, behind by 10. By the way, I won
"boat total" all three years. Neal and Laura were both within 10 points of
me making it the closest game of Medici ever.

Tom stayed a little later and we played a game of "Family Business" with
some great stories and voices for the gangsters. In the end though, Jen
massacred us.

Hope to see you next week as I get 4 new games (Space Beans, Lord of the
Leprechauns, Gigaten (game of the year), and Was Sticht (similar to Wizards,
only you CHOOSE what goals you will attempt to get for the game and each
round).
